Sean M. Morrison, Founder and CEO of Morrison Security Corporation

Sean M. Morrison | CEO and Founder of Morrison Security Corporation, Morrison Security Group & Morrison Investigations, Inc

Sean Morrison’s extensive business background developed and tested over three decades in the security industry enables him to provide the highest caliber of service when meeting the needs of his clients.

Sean’s broad career in the security industry began in 1986, when, as a District Loss Prevention Manager, Morrison spent 7 years overseeing loss prevention programs for two corporate retailers with average sales exceeding two billion dollars annually.

Adept at results-oriented critical evaluation, Sean dedicated himself to learning the intricacies of the security industry to improve operations and outcomes. Sean’s mastery of the industry, while hard-earned, was immensely beneficial when, in 1993, Morrison moved into executive leadership in the private security industry as an owner and partner. Holding the positions of Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, and President, in 1999, Sean became the sole proprietor of Morrison Security.

Morrison has delivered top-level services to a diverse array of clients including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, Motorola, Coca-Cola, Sysco, Northwestern University, South African Counsel General, Chicago Midway Airport, Twentieth Century Fox, Amsted Industries, Toys R Us, Just for Feet and Staples.

Sean’s expert consultation and professional staff have secured assets and individuals at high-profile events such as the World Cup Soccer Tournament; Democratic National Convention; Republican National Convention; Chicago Bulls championship parades; Chicago Marathon, and the Taste of Chicago.

In a field with no room for error, Sean’s thorough professional training includes completion of an intensive Israeli program requiring over 180 hours of instruction regarding terrorist countermeasure security techniques, and Sean’s companies saw extensive deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan on assignments including intelligence support, security training, manning camp set-ups, perimeter security and construction related contracts for the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and private sector actors.

In addition to appearing on NBC, ABC, FOX and WGN network news as a commentator offering insider perspective regarding high profile protection clients, Sean has been featured on the ION Television’s “Primary Focus” as an expert in client confidentiality during executive protection details, and his industry insights on the effects of terrorism and risk have been read in numerous publications including Crain’s business magazine.

In 2009, Sean co-founded and funded “Operation Restoring Innocence” a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and recovering exploited and missing children from gangs and human traffickers and reuniting them with their families and loved ones. To date, over 150 children have been reunited with their families as a result of efforts by Operation Restoring Innocence. In recognition of Sean’s many years of volunteering and Morrison Security’s pro-bono work to arrest and deter the scourge of trafficking exploited children, Sean received the LEADS “Humanitarian of the Year Award” for 2011.

A recipient of numerous awards and commendations for outstanding service and expertise in the field of security, Sean has served on the boards of several industry organizations including the American Society of Industrial Security; Illinois Security Chiefs Association; and the Associated Detectives of Illinois.

Recognized as one of Illinois top twenty-five businessmen in 2008, Sean majored in business and accounting at Moraine Valley College before founding Morrison Security, which now employs approximately 1,000 talented security professionals and was recently named a Fortune 500 Fastest Growing Firm.

Carrie DIlger | President, Morrison Security

Carrie Dilger believes setting security priorities extends far beyond routine analyses that match catalogues of services to assets. Motivated to deliver optimal outcomes, Carrie builds meaningful relationships to understand what is truly important to a client and determine the best allocation of limited resources to protect assets or ensure survivability of your enterprise.

Carrie has been refining her principled approach to client service since 1994, where working at a local firm, Carrie’s ability to navigate the inherent complexities of high-performance security caught the attention of Sean Morrison, who rapidly promoted her to Operations Manager. Over the next five years, Carrie and Sean’s dedicated teamwork produced an impressive growth in business while also providing opportunity to critically examine the security industry.

During her tenure, Carrie identified factors required of a successful security firm, enabling her to optimize asset management and enhance outcomes for clients. More importantly, Carrie’s detailed client support practices allowed her to isolate and target facets of the industry negatively impacting client-employee relations often leading to a deterioration in quality of service provided by security firms.

Intensive discussions regarding these realities with Morrison led to a determination to develop a business model embracing positive solutions to operations, communications, and employee management challenges from the start. These guiding principles being firmly established, Morrison Security opened in 1999, with Carrie serving as Vice President.

Responsible for all aspects of Morrison Security operations, including human resources, marketing, and sales, Carrie’s dedicated execution and commitment to client satisfaction led to her elevation as President of Morrison Security where she consistently performs above industry standards through disciplined quality assurance management.

Throughout an extensive career, Carrie’s talent for strategy and planning has enabled her to assess the need of a diverse array of clients, craft and deploy programs tailored to their specific concerns, and ensure they are implemented by a cadre of well-trained, highly-qualified security professionals.

A leader who views service as the most satisfying aspect of her job, Carrie has helped thousands of clients and employees reach their goals and is proud her compassionate professionalism helps Morrison Security stand apart as a dynamic organization dedicated to providing services of the highest caliber.

An alumna of Moraine Valley College, Carrie is a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant. Additionally, as Private Security Agency Licensee and Private Detective, Carrie holds certificates in Basic Security Training, and Armed Security Training, requiring 60 hours of instruction.
